This site offers educational videos, K-12 assembly programs, speakers, quit smoking info, anti-tobacco news, and a great anti-smoking links guide for teen smoking prevention. The mission of our sister group, Smokefree America, is to motivate youth to stay tobaccofree and to empower smokers to quit successfully. Our efforts, combined with those of many other groups fighting tobacco, will help reduce the prevalence of the major diseases caused by smoking: lung cancer, heart disease, and emphysema. Your gift to Smokefree America will make a real difference in the fight against tobacco, and help reduce future suffering among families with loved ones afflicted by smoking-caused disease.

LIVING IN AN AGE OF TERRORIST THREATS, WE HELP STUDENTS BELIEVE IN THE FUTURE

One part of our new educational video and Patrick Reynolds' live assembly program for grades 6 - 12 was created to help counteract a 1990's increase of worry and anxiety among youth particularly at-risk students, whose smoking rates are substantially higher.

An important factor in high youth smoking rates has been that too many feel inwardly, I have no future, so why not smoke or try drugs? I just want to have some fun while I can.

Sadly, in this age of terrorist threats, student worry and anxiety have become more widespread.

A five minute section in our video helps empower students to deal with their doubts and worries, and aims to help rebuild their faith in the future.

In turn gives them a new motivation to "take care of your health, for the incredible years ahead, and stay tobacco and drug free."

You may view more detailed info on our September 11th message. To find out more about Patrick Reynolds' educational video and live talks, visit Tobaccofree.org and print out a page to give to your health teacher.

To see an online video clip of this section of our educational video, view clip 5 on our video or audio preview clips page.

Thanks for caring!
